What is the Difference Between a Misdemeanor and Felony Crime?
The main difference between these two criminal offenses will be the severity of the penalties. Misdemeanor crimes are punishable for up to one (1) year imprisonment and up to $1,000.00 fine, whereas a felony crime is punishable by more than one (1) year imprisonment and more than $1,000.00 fine.
