Pawtucket Child Molestation Trial

As reported by Thomas Morgan in the January 11, 2011 edition of the Providence Journal, a Pawtucket man was found guilty of two (2) counts of 2nd degree child molestation.  After trial, jury found him guilty, but he will be sentenced by a Judge in March of 2011.

Pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws, 11-37-8.3, 2nd degree child molestation is defined as a person is guilty of a second degree child molestation sexual assault if he or she engages in sexual contact with another person fourteen (14) years of age or under.

The penalties include imprisonment for not less than six (6) years nor more than thirty (30) years per count.
