North Providence Assault
As reported in the October 28, 2010 edition of the Providence Journal, a North Providence woman is facing five (5) separate assault charges. The woman is the wife of man running for North Providence Town Council. The alleged assaults occurred earlier this weekend and resulted from an altercation between the woman and her adult son.
The first alleged assault occurred between the woman and her son, who called police because his mother was drunk. When police arrived, the woman alleged kicked two (2) police officers. She was then taken to a local hospital for treatment. During the trip to the hospital, she alleged assaulted two (2) rescue workers. In addition to the assault charges, she is also facing charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
